'The Bachelor' 2013 Finale: Did Sean make the right choice? Probably not

“The Bachelor” 2013 fans already know that Sean Lowe made his pick and spoilers and leaks may have you think you know who it is, but not until the fat lady sings will you really know for sure who he will propose to this evening. OK, no fat lady will sing tonight, but a marriage proposal does come with the final rose on Monday, March 13, 2013.

“The Bachelor” finale was was such a close call for Sean, he was still not sure the morning of the final rose show on who to pick, according to Us Magazine on Monday. His conversations mirrored his nervousness the day he needed to pick one of the two final ladies left. The usual cool-headed and together Sean, had some "freaked-out" chats with his two possible life partners, reports Us.

Whether Sean picks Catherine Giudici or Lindsay Yenter, the fact that he still didn't know who to pick the morning of the day he was to pop the question speaks to what is wrong with this “Bachelor” format. The pressure to pick between two women with a time limit over your head makes for some bad love matches.

This has been seen time and time again on both "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" shows. This format is really a set-up for failure. Most couples don't make it past two months once the cameras disappear, and even then a lot of the hype about the love-struck couples often goes on after the couple splits.

You might as well just put the original twenty-some-odd girls behind curtains and have Sean pull a “Let's Make a Deal” pick. He'd probably have as much chance of making it to the alter as he does with either Lindsay or Catherine. You can't help but think this guy was ready to marry Emily Maynard if she picked him, so how deep is his love for the duo he needs to pick from tonight?
