“The Bachelor” Ben Flajnik has a gigantic family and fans of this show first got to see them all when he went home with Ashley on the “Bachelorette” for a family visit. Julia, Ben’s sister, was on this week’s episode, but she didn’t seem to take Ben’s quest for love too seriously, leaving many to believe that Ben’s family thinks this is just a form of entertainment for Ben for his second time around.
While his sister didn’t seem too serious about his venture, Ben’s grandmother, who lives in the traditional New England shoreline town of Guilford, Ct, seems to think otherwise. She talked with the New Haven Register last week and said she thinks she sees something in Ben that indicates he's found someone. When 88 year old Jean Hill talked to her grandson after “The Bachelor” finished filming, she got the idea that he’s found love.
While Ben didn’t say this to Hill, as he’s bound by a contract that means he can’t even tell his own grandmother, this lady is very in tune with her grandson’s demeanor. His sister had to get a quick talk from Ben when she visited, he let her know he's taking this seriously, as Julia treated it like a whim and something Ben can look back on in the future as having a good time.
Ben’s grandmother said that Ben’s happy and not just from all the traveling and attention that he’s gotten from this ABC reality show. She thinks he’s found someone to love and his grandmother adds that Ben was ready for that to happen. As far as Hill watching her grandson every week, she wouldn’t miss it, but she has friends with her for support, as she finds it hard to watch alone. You can see where Ben gets his considerate ways and forgiving manner from, as Hill says she likes Ashley and doesn’t hold it against the girl for breaking Ben’s heart on the “Bachelorette.”
