It looks like superhero pals, the Avengers, will be assembling sooner than fans thought. This time though, it won’t be to fight the baddies. On Wednesday, Feb. 6, Deadline announced that some of the members of the hero team will be gathering to preset at the Academy Awards later this month.
The stars that will take the stage are Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo. For Marvel fans, this will bring Tony Stark (Iron Man), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Nick Fury, Clint Barton (Hawkeye), and Bruce Banner (Hulk) together.
“We are happy to re-unite the ‘Avengers’ cast to present on our show,” show producer Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said. “Audiences who enjoyed the year’s biggest box office hit will be excited to see these terrific actors back together again.”
The only heroes missing are Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor).
