Paoli's midweek skiers enjoyed yet another day of spring-like conditions including, at last, a blue, sunny sky.

All Peaks department heads are using a few more days of "preseason" skiing as practice for their rookie and veteran staff members.

Ski-school department enjoyed a treat with David Darwin and his family following their arrival on Wednesday morning. While driving from Virginia to Kansas, it was on an impulse that they pulled off of the interstate, bound for their first experience with Hoosiers, snow and downhill skiing.

After 90 minutes of lessons and skiing, the Darwins were tired but well on their way to happy careers on skis.

"It was good fun," said David, "and we'll be back for more tomorrow!" Moments later, he, literally, enjoyed his first taste of Midwest snow.

Until tomorrow, Darwins!
