The Atlanta Falcons one win away from the big dance (Video)

The city in the forest is boosting and hosting the NFC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Sunday. The Falcons will host their first NFC Championship in franchise history. The Falcons will play the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Winner goes to the Super Bowl in the ‘Big Easy’ in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, February 3, 2013. The Fabulous Falcons and the city of Atlanta are preparing for Super Sunday.

On last Sunday, the Falcons hosted the Seahawks in a divisional playoff game. The game was dubbed the battle of the birds, Seahawks v Falcons. The Falcons soared during the first half with a 20-0 half time lead. Fans in the Dome arrived early, were loud, and stayed late to see the Falcons win with a last second field goal. The Dome and the city rejoiced and celebrated a 30-28 victory for the Falcons, justifying them a trip to the NFC Championship Game and being at home.

The year was 1999 when the Falcons made their first appearance in a NFC Championship Game. Losing to the Denver Broncos. Crews are getting the logos ready on the field. Hanging banners all over the Dome. Team spirit and fan spirit is very hedonistic in the city and surrounding areas. Talk of after game celebrations are already underway, at homes, sport bars and restaurants.

Managers of eateries and bars are asking fans to make reservations for Sunday. Fans are being asked to ride MARTA to and from the game. Falcons memorabilia is flying off the shelves. Sunday is Atlanta Falcons day.
