Today, at a tented ceremony in Santa Monica, California awards were bestowed upon the independent film community. The Artist was the winner for Best Feature and many pundits believe that this silent film will be victorious at the Academy Awards® tomorrow. Other indie film awards were present to:
Best Actor: Jean Dujardin for The Artist
- Best Actress: Michelle Williams for My Week with Marilyn
Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer for Beginners
Best Supporting Actress: Shailene Woodley for The Descendants
