On last night’s early morning edition of "The Artie Lange Show" on the Audience Network, best-selling author and comedian, Artie Lange and co-host Jon Ritchie, former NFL fullback welcomed a comedian from Jersey City, N.J.
Lange and Ritchie had more than a few chuckles at the expense of announcer, Mike Bocchetti, who now does a comedic version of the weather at the beginning of the show. Poor Mike was outside the studio freezing his behind off in the sub-freezing New York City weather as Lange and Ritchie threw barbs at him from the warmth of the studio.
Mike Gaffney, a comedian who has plenty in common with Lange, had a fun time on the show. He is appearing at the Atlantic City Borgata Comedy Club starting this Monday, January 27 until Sunday, February 2. They both spoke about their addiction to gambling and how Lange spent more money than he earned, especially one memorable weekend at Mandalay Bay when instead of coming home with $80,000, was in the red for $18,000. Talk about a lost weekend!
Mike has two kids and is a single parent, so he needs the money. Lange confessed that he had nobody to take care of but himself. Mike told a story about telling his kids that he had a bag full of stuff for them, but regretfully left it at the airport. Memories like these keep him away from the tables. Mike has been clean for 21 years and both he and Lange gave viewers a complete insight into what drugs do to you and your body.
Mike has done full-time comedy since 2009, and if you check his website, Mike Gaffney from the genius mind of a complete moron, you will see what Mike is all about. Check out his podcasts and listen to this funny guy. However, if you are in the area, from Monday through Sunday, come and see him at the Borgata, and if you can’t make it, check the website for the next time he will be in your area.
