The art of taking pictures of an active four year old (Photos)

Taking pictures of an active four year old child, as you may know, can be very difficult. It requires lots of patience and no stringent time limits to get that perfect shot.

The child may not be in the mood to sit still or the clothing does not make them happy, and the list of reasons can go on and on. However, once you're able to get that child settled down to either smile at the camera or just jump up and around, you can get some beautiful action pictures or pensive mood pictures. I'm not sure if sugar is always the secret because the quiet mood will not exist in the picture if the child is overly active, unless of course you're looking for an all action shot.

The close up picture was taken with a Canon Rebel XT camera using a zoom lens. An iPhone 4s was used for the action picture on a bright afternoon.
