The Art of Blizzard book coming January 29th, launch event planned

Featuring nearly 400 pages of concept art, finished designs, and everything in between, The Art of Blizzard art book is something that any gamer familiar with the Warcraft, StarCraft, and the Diablo franchises should look forward to getting their hands on.

According to Blizzard, the book features never-before-seen art from unfinished projects.

"The Art of Blizzard is a superbly high-quality tome dedicated to presenting and preserving the visual history of Blizzard and our Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises," Blizzard said in their official announcement. "With over 350 pages and nearly 800 individual pieces...this will certainly be a must-have collector’s item to adorn even the most discerning of bookshelves and coffee tables."

Published by Insight Editors, The Art of Blizzard is currently available to pre-order from online retailers like Amazon and will be available in bookstores January 29th with an MSRP of $75.

To celebrate the book's launch, Blizzard is hosting a special event at Gallery Nucleus in Southern California. On Saturday, January 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Gallery Nucleus will host a special exhibit featuring over 60 pieces of art from some of Blizzard's most popular titles. The event costs $5 to get into, but cosplayers will be allowed in free of charge.

This event will be the first place The Art of Blizzard will be made available, and Blizzard artists will be on hand at Gallery Nucleus on the 12th for demos, meet-and-greets, and signings.
