The Arizona Wine Growers Association presents The Art of Arizona Wine Celebration, a day-long affair exploring two of the world’s great passions - artistry and winemaking. The inaugural event coincides with the Scottsdale Arts Festival taking place just outside in the Scottsdale Civic Center Park. With tasting from 20 Arizona wineries, an art show, educational seminars and industry trade show the day will be an interactive playground for wine enthusiasts, hobbyists, wineries, winemakers and retailers. Blending into the evening, the celebration culminates with The Art of Wine Gala offering gourmet pairings, fine art, signed bottles from the winemakers and live music.

For anyone questioning whether their vessel plays a part in their wine tasting experience, guests will learn all about stemware during the Art of the Perfect Wine Glass seminar. Following will be a discussion on Building Your Brand, covering topics from intellectual property and protecting a brand to the components of a successful brand. Mid-morning, attendees will learn about Arizona’s three distinct regions and how these terroirs influence the flavors of local wine.

The afternoon features lunch and keynote address presented by Mark Chandler, Executive Director of Wine America, and Peggy Fiandaca, President of the Arizona Wine Growers Association and Owner of Lawrence Dunham Vineyards. Afterward, it’s Arizona versus The World! In this session, guests can participate in a blind tasting featuring both Arizona vintages and their counterparts from the great wine regions around the world. As the findings are revealed, winemakers will be on hand to discuss these local varietals and regions in comparison to terroirs across the globe.

In the Art of the Blending seminar this popular consumer category is examined by the masters, uncovering answers surrounding the process of creating the perfect blend. Throughout the day, art displays and wine tastings abound with beautiful works for the eyes and the palate. Concluding the daytime celebration is an industry trade show and reception for conference attendees, featuring a select group of wine industry vendors and manufacturers.

The event concludes with The Art of Arizona Wine Gala Celebration, giving guests a unique opportunity to interact with Arizona’s winemakers throughout the evening, enjoy tastings and gourmet pairings, along with music and fine art. Winemakers will also be signing purchased bottles of wine to commemorate the special day.

The Art of Arizona Wine Celebration will take place on Saturday, March 15 from 8am - 5:30pm. Registration and the conference program will be held at The Saguaro hotel in downtown Scottsdale. Immediately following the daylong event, the Art of Arizona Wine Gala will be held at the neighboring event space, Clayton on the Park, from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Guests have the option to attend various segments of the day, the full daytime event or just the evening portion of the Celebration. Tickets to both the conference and gala are available online now at arizonawine.org/Art-of-AZ-Wine-Event.html
