The 26th annual Falcon Ridge Folk Festival will be held August 1st, at Dodds Farm, Hillsdale, New York.
This year's performer line-up includes some mainstays of the folk music scene as well as up and coming acts in a number of roots music and Americana genres as well as more folk/pop style performers.
In the past such iconic folk music artists as Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, and Janis Ian have headlined at the festival.
The list of performers for 2014 is as follows: The Andrew & Noah Band, Ann Armstrong & Steve Hughes, Annie & the Hedonists, Annie Wenz, Aoife O’Donovan, Beth Molaro, The Boxcar Lilies, Brother Sun, The Clayfoot Strutters, Cheryl Wheeler, Christine Lavin & Don White, Connor Garvey, Darlingside, The Duhks, The Falcon Ridge House Band, The Grand Slambovians, The Great Bear Trio, Hoopoe, The Horse Flies, The Ivy Vine Players, John Gorka, Jim & Madeline Christensen, Kim & Reggie Harris, Krewe de la Rue, Kathryn Wedderburn,The Levins, Louise Mosrie, Magpie, Nerissa & Katryna Nields, Patti O’Brien Melita , Paul Rosenberg, Pete’s Posse, Perpetual e-Motion, Ralph Sweet, Ronny Cox, Roosevelt Dime, The Russet Trio, Seth Glier, Still, the Homegrown Band, Spuyten Duyvil, The Storycrafters, Tom Paxton, Tracy Grammer, and Will Mentor.
Falcon Ridge Folk Festival acts perform on a number of stages. Headline acts perform on the main stage throughout the festival. The festival also features a songwriter "swap" on Friday nights, and each year showcases about thirty new artists.
This years' Song Swap will feature Tom Paxton, John Gorka, Cheryl Wheeler, and Seth Glier.
There is an Emerging Artist Showcase which this year will feature The Levins among others doing a two song, or ten minute set on the main stage.
