"The Americans" is ready to return to FX with season two, and now fans are being given new inside scoop on the season ahead. On Feb. 23, We Got This Covered shared the latest comments made by the men in charge of the series. The creator of the series is Joe Weisberg, and he works with two executive producers, Joel Fields and Graham Yost. Seriable also shared new posters for season two of the series.
Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star in this FX series, and their characters will face new challenges this season. They will have their marriage back on solid ground, but their family will have some trouble pop up. Their daughter will learn more about their secret life.
Fans should expect to see new characters arrive this season as well. Graham Yost teased the following about the new faces that will pop up:
Because of what happened with Claudia, Margo Martindale’s character, there’s a new handler that comes in. There’s also new agents that they’re working, new spies that they’re running, but there’s also the inciting incident in the first episode. Something happens involving them, and another set of illegals also with a family. And that really sets the whole season in motion.
Yost is also known for his work on "Justified" on FX. This series became a big hit for FX last year, so the network is hoping that success continues during season two. What do you think? Are you excited for the return of this FX series?
"The Americans" will premiere season two on Wednesday night.
