On Wednesday, Fox News released the results of a recent poll which showed that 60 percent of Americans now believe that President Obama lies to the public on major issues.
In fact, 37 percent of respondents said Obama lies "most of the time;" while another 24 percent think the current president lies "some of the time;" and 20 percent of those asked said he lies "only now and then."
Given Obama's penchant for dishonesty, the most surprising result of the poll was that 15 percent of respondents completely rejected the notion of Obama bending the truth and claimed he "never" lies. Is it possible that this group consisted entirely of mainstream press reporters?
Apparently, Obama's toothy grin and large-font teleprompter are no longer enough to convince the American people that the first president in U.S. history to have once used a completely different name from what he called himself at the time of his election (i.e. Barry Soetoro), is actually telling them the truth when he opens his mouth.
In the interest of time and bandwidth space, this columnist has boiled-down Obama's biggest lies to a list of just three...
-"If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."
On June 15, 2009, during a speech to the American Medical Association, Obama told the assembled audience: "...no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what."
Of course, since the passage of the so-called Affordable Healthcare Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, millions of Americans have not only lost their doctors, but their insurance coverage as well, as a direct result of the mountain of regulations contained in the voluminous legislation.
-"Operation Fast and Furious was started by George Bush."
In September 2012, Obama gave an interview to Spanish-language network, Univision, in which he claimed that the gun-running operation begun under his administration, placing assault weapons into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels was actually President Bush's fault.
I think it’s important to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program, begun under the previous administration...When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it."
Now for the truth...
While the Bush administration did initiate a gun tracing program known as Operation Wide Receiver. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) actually implanted RFID chips into the weapons and used various types of surveillance to catch the so-called straw purchasers who were, in-turn, selling guns to the cartels.
The program was very limited and involved a few hundred weapons.
Unfortunately, the RFID chips proved to be unreliable and were often found and removed by the gun runners.
Operation Wide Receiver was in fact, ended in 2007. It was not ended by the Obama administration as is being widely reported by the MSM.
In March 2009, Obama administration officials, including Obama's own press secretary, held a White House briefing announcing Operation Gunrunner, which later became Fast and Furious.
Of course, this program did not involve gun tracing, but gun smuggling, which resulted in thousands of weapons ending-up in the hands of the drug cartels.
Some of those weapons have been used to murder U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata as well as hundreds of Mexican citizens.
-"Illegal aliens will never be eligible for Obamacare."
On September 9, 2009, while addressing a joint session of Congress, President Obama told the nation that his so-called health care reform legislation, laughingly dubbed the Affordable Care Act, would not cover illegal aliens, saying: "The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."
However, it recently came to light that the Spanish language section of California's Affordable Healthcare enrollment website, known as Covered California has a page entitled: "No temas si eres indocumentado/a y quieres inscribir a tu familia en un seguro médico." ("Fear not if you are undocumented and want to enroll your family in health insurance.").
Here, illegal aliens are assured that none of their information will ever be used to enforce federal immigration laws.
The page states:
According to the laws and implementing regulations, the information provided by individuals for coverage can not be used for purposes other than ensuring the efficient functioning of the insurance market or administration of the program, or to verify certain eligibility determinations including verification of the immigration status of these people."
Of course, Obama has also sent forth his surrogates to lie on his behalf. The most glaring example of this was then-Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice repeatedly declaring that the attack on our consulate office in Benghazi, Libya, was not in fact an act of terrorism, but the result of "a spontaneous protest" over a never-before-seen Youtube video.
We now have a president who makes a practice of lying, so much so that he may now actually believe his own lies, and may have become unable to distinguish the truth from fantasy. In short, Obama appears to be a pathological liar.
So, the question becomes...What is the process for removing a mentally unstable president?
