The American Bible Challenge is returning with a super-sized premiere for season 3. GSN announced today, April 23, that the third season premiere of its highest rated original series of all time, premieres on Thursday, May 22 at 8 p.m. EST/PST with two back-to-back original episodes and continues with new episodes Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST/PST on GSN.

Jeff Foxworthy is back as host on the show in which contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible. Kirk Franklin GRAMMY® winner and multi-platinum-selling musician and producer Kirk Franklin is back for his second stint as musical co-host.

There will a total of nine new 9 original episodes and this season's contestants include a team of former beauty queens, motorcycle riding priests, police officers and Mormon moms and many more. New games have been added to this season's The American Bible Challenge and will put contestants; spiritual and physical talents to the test with new categories that include "Christ or Klingon" in which contestants have to guess whether words are from the Bible or Star Trek's Klingon language; "Curse You Autocorrect" where contestants must decipher a typed Bible passage that has been "autocorrected" and "Nazareth Enquirer" with sensational Biblical headlines that could have appeared in a tabloid.

The American Bible Challenge captured the network's highest ratings in its 18-year history with 1.7 million total viewers when it premiered August 23, 2012.
