When you see a video with "Jumpy the Dog" in the title, you naturally expect to see a dog jumping. But the dog in this video takes jumping to new heights. It seems his owner Omar von Muller can teach Jumpy to do just about anything. Jumpy can skateboard, surf, ride a scooter and even paint. He responds to auditory commands with precision and intelligence reminiscent of the amazing Skidboot, the cattle dog who captured the hearts and respect of dog lovers worldwide.
What impressed me most is how cleverly Jumpy decides how to get whatever height and angle the situation calls for. He runs up the front of his handler to flip backward. He braces his back feet on a cabinet door while balancing on his front paws so he can push off with greater force. He seems to walk on two legs as easily as he does on all four.
Want to try out some of Jumpy's tricks with your dog? Check out his owner's training site where you can order training videos, buy a Jumpy original painting and learn more about this amazing dog star. There you'll also see the von Muller's other famous dog Uggie, the Jack Russell Terrier is the Academy Award winning film "The Artist" and "Water for Elephants." Uggie also has YouTube videos and quite a fan following.
