After months of releasing bits of the film on a seemingly daily basis, Sony has posted the final trailer for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
Picking up where the 2012 film left off, Andrew Garfield stars as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, as the webbed hero struggles to balance his life with his heroic duties as the webbed hero. Jamie Foxx has been feature heavily in the marketing as the film’s villain, Electro. They’ll be joined by the returning Emma Stone and Sally Field, who play Gwen Stacy and Aunt May. Peter’s investigation into his father’s past will see them joined by several newcomers, including “Chronicle” star Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn/Green Goblin and Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino.
The trailer focuses heavily on the action sequences between Spider-Man and his various enemies, while showcasing plenty of the character’s trademark humor.
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” swings into theaters May 2, 2014.
