Movie fans are waiting for the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" to theaters, and now the man bringing the film to the big screen is giving fans more details about just how huge this sequel is. On Monday, Jan. 27, Movie Web shared the latest comments made about the film by Marc Webb. He made the comments when he was previewing a new television spot for the film that fans will see when they watch the Super Bowl this weekend.

It's huge. We're pushing the levels of effects, the level of action and the emotional capacity of this kid. It's an aggressive step forward. We throw around the term 'operatic' because of the spectacle and the theater involved, which is pretty epic. There are enormous sets and great set-pieces.

Webb went on to call the relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy 'beautiful.' Parker and Stacy are played by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It has been teased that Stacy will die during the film.

Parker's Spider-man will face new villains during this film. Jamie Foxx stars as Electro. This sequel will also be the launching pad for two spin-offs, and it will help lay the foundation for the next two Spider-Man films as well.

What do you think? Are you excited to see this next film featuring Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released.
