On the premiere’s end last week, two teams made it through by taking a four penalty for the next leg of the race. Last night these teams fought for their lives and actually passed others who last week thought they had the race in their pockets.
The Road Block involved going into the water, and for some, it proved disastrous as they struggled to either find two red oysters in shells they would have to shuck, or build a picnic underwater. Idries and Jamil, who were among the first teams to arrive, found themselves losing ground as team after team completed the task. Dave and Connor were part of the first three teams to get to the finish line, but apparently the father ruptured his Achilles tendon and it might cost them the race.
The team of newly weds Max and Kate who took the four-hour penalty finished in 9th place. Next week the teams will travel to New Zealand where the thrills and chills will continue and the Road Blocks as always on this show will be grueling and not for the faint at heart.
