The Emmy Award winning reality series The Amazing Race premieres on Feburary 19, 2012. The racers' courange is tested during the first roadblock of the season, when they find themselves leaping from a plane at 10,000 feet above Argentina, according to a press release from 'CBS Television Network.' The season premiere, hosted by Phil Keoghan, airs on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET on the 'CBS Television Network.'
In the season premiere, Tears of a Clown, 11 teams depart Santa Barbara, California for Santa Barbara, Argentina. One of the teams has to struggle to keep their nerves at bay, due to an extreme fear of heights. The teams quickly discover that winning one million dollars may be tougher than expected when they find themselves skydiving from an airplane at 10,000 feet.

The 11 new teams on the 20th season of The Amazing Race include:
Dave Brown, 33, is an US Army Officer teamed with his wife Rachel Brown, 30, a project manager, The couple is from Madison, Wisconsin.
William 'Bopper' Minton, 41, is a motorcycle mechanic teamed with Mark Jackson, 45, a former State inspecter. They are best friends from Manchester, Kentucky.
Nary Ebeid, 32, and Jamie Graetz 33, are friends and Federal Agents from Los Angeles, California.
Brendon Villegas, 31, a PhD student is paried with Rachel Reilly, 27, an event hostess, The couple is engaged and live in Westwood, California.
Joey 'Fitness' Lasalla, 29, a trainer/supplement company owner from Whitestone, New York, is paired with Danny Horal, 27, a nightclub promotor from Holbrook, New York. The team mates are friends.
Misa Tanka, 27, car buyer, is paired with Manya Tanaka, 25, a professional golfer. They are sisters from San Diego, California.
Davi Gregg, 44, is teamed with Cherie Gregg, 44. The pair are married and are clowns for Ambassador of Laughter, from New Port Richey, Florida.
Elliot Weber, 28, a musician from Scottsdale, Arizona, is paired with Andrew Weber, 28, a professional soccer player from Menlo Park California. They are twins.
Kerri Paul, 30, a program coordinator, is paired with Stacy Bowens, 30, a self employed Basketball wife. They are cousins from Gulfport, Mississippi.
Vanessa Macias, 31 a freelance writer, is paired with Ralph Kelley, 36, a bar owner, They are dating and are from San Antonio, Texas.
Art Velez, 43, from Temecula, California, is paired with J.J. Carrell, 42, from Carlsbad, California. They are both border patrol agents and are friends.
The Amazing Race sents 11 teams around the world to compete in a series of challenges. When the challenges are completed they learn their next destination. The team in the rear is eliminated. The first team to rach the final destination wins one million dollars.
