The Amazing Race: The race around the world begins

The race begins, yes, another season of the instructive and fascinating reality show 'The Amazing Race' kicked off tonight. The 11 eleven teams of 2 individuals started their race around the world and they began the race in beautiful Los Angeles at the Griffith Park Observatory.

The first challenge, to be one of the first five teams on board the first airplane to Bora Bora, and from that moment those first five decided to form an alliance, because the first team to cross the finish line for that leg of the race would receive two express passes, one for them and another to be given to another team of their choice.

Once everyone was on the ground the Road Block consisted of one member from each team to skydive while the other on a water taxi would meet them and receive their next clue, and that second Road Block just about did all the teams in as they were to look for their next clue hidden inside 400 sandcastles lining the beach, not only were they doing this under a blistering sun, however, they were to build those castles that they destroyed and among which there was no clue.

Three teams after many hours or searching decided to take the four hour penalty for not completing the task, however, they would need to row for their lives in order not to be the last to check in, and the firefighters who were gaining on another team suddenly found themselves overturning their boat, thus putting themselves in last place.

‘The Amazing Race’ runs on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS.
