About The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
This theater started in 1958 and has grown to be the worlds most loved dance theater. The Ailey theater has gone on to perform and has touched people in 48 states and 71 countries on six continents as well as on the TV screen. Mr Alvin Ailey died in 1989, but his legacy still reigns as his successor Judith Jamison has brought the Company to ultimate success.
