The AJC Decatur Book Festival coming soon

The AJC Decatur Book Festival (DBF) is a tradition; the first Festival launched in 2006.  The DBF is a series of readings, talks, and panel discussions that are free and open to the public. 

Presented by Dekalb Medical, the DBF features a Keynote Event, Book Market and Street Fair, Writer's Conference, Teen and Children's Activities, Closing Picnic on the Square, and more.  The lectures and book signings will feature over 300 authors, including Pulitzer Prize-winner David Finkel, Complete Idiot's Guide author Gail Margolies Reid, children's author Anna Dewdney, Creative Loafing Editor Mara Shalhoup, and National Endowment of the Arts recipient Rigoberto Gonzalez. 

Events will take place on 17 stages, including Children's Stage, Decatur Conference Stage (DCS): Ballroom A (Presented by PBA), DCS: Ballroom B (Presented by Lenz), DCS: Auditorium (Presented by Coca-Cola, Decatur High School (Presented by Dekalb Medical), and The Escape at the Old Courthouse.  Events cover such interests as cooking, business, religion & spirituality, romance and more.  (Select "Jump to Events" on the DBF website, mentioned below, for more topics.) 

The festival is September 3 - 5, 2010.  Events are varied, and as early as 10:00 AM.  Events end around 8:00 PM.  Select this link at the DBF website for "Getting Here" information, which includes MARTA, driving directions, and parking information.
