Whether you’re an established crooner that just needs music to back your vocals, or whether you need the complete set of words to make it through a single song, the American Heart Association wants you to head out and sing during February.
They’ve set up two opportunities for you to sing, the first comes at The Wine Loft in The Greene on Saturday, February 5th, the other will be at the Therapy Cafe, 452 East Third Street in Dayton on Thursday, February 24th.
Singing is expected to start around 7pm and continue to 11pm at both venues, but with a big turnout, perhaps it could go a bit longer.
This is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association, so be prepared to pay to sing, either solo or as a team.
There will also be guest singers. Kellen Winslow Sr., Brittny McGraw and Nancy Wilson of K99 are scheduled to be on hand and you may be able to pay to have them, sing, too.
According to their Facebook page, proceeds from these events will benefit childhood obesity and children with heart disease.
For more info you can call 937-853-3102.
Earlier on Saturday, February 5th at the Dayton Mall, the American Heart Association will be holding a “Go Red Casting Call.”
“Join us and share your story for a chance to become a Go Red spokesperson and help us save a woman’s life today!”
“Female heart disease survivors or lifestyle changers are invited to tape their personal stories for submission at the national level for a chance to become a Go Red spokesperson!”
