When Annie Kagan’s trouble older brother passed away unexpectedly, she never expected what was about to unfold. A chiropractor and a songwriter, Annie had a busy hectic life. She is not a medium, or a psychic. She had never really thought of the afterlife, except that she believed that we are energy and that energy would just somehow dissolve into a sea of bliss and not really be an individual anymore. She was fine with this image. What happened to her after her brother died changed all that.
William Cohen, aka Billy Fingers was a man with personal demons that had manifested into drugs, alcohol and crime. In spite of his problems, Annie looked up to him. A free soul who loved people, he was charismatic and had a romantic bad boy image. Billy's problems had begun about age 15 and he struggled with them for most of his life. After attempting to check into a hospital in Florida, he left after he was told he had to be placed into detox. He ran from the hospital into the street and was hit by a passing car and was killed instantly.
Three weeks after his death, Annie was awakened one morning by a voice calling out to her. Annie had been guilt stricken and was trying to deal with the loss of her brother. It was her birthday. The voice called out to her. “Annie, Annie! Wake up! It’s Billy!” Annie thought she was dreaming. She thought she was going crazy. The voice sounded just like Billy, it spoke like Billy, but she really doubted that it actually was Billy. She thought her mind was playing tricks on her to make her feel better. In that first visit, the voice comforted her. Billy told her that he was fine, that he was in a good place and knew about an item that he had given to her before he had passed away. Annie had so many doubts after the first visit and even thought she was going crazy. It was the first of many visits from her beloved brother with messages from the other side.
Annie talked about her extraordinary experience with Anthony Agate and Luci Leibfried on the Blogtalk radio show Paranormal Review Radio. Annie has written a book called “The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad Boy Brother Proved to Me There’s Life After Death”. The book is described as “one of the most detailed and profound descriptions of after death communication (ADC) ever recorded.” With a forward by Dr Raymond Moody, the author of “Life after Life”, this book and Annie’s experience opens up a whole new vision of what really happens after death.
Annie states that the book is really written by Billy. She wrote down what Billy had to say in a notebook that Billy had given to her. In the front of the notebook, Billy had inscribed “Dear Annie, everyone needs a book dedicated to them. Read between the lines. Love, Billy.” Not know what to make of the inscription, the message became clear as Billy continued to visit and describe what he was seeing, hearing and feeling.
The book and the messages are filled with hope and love. They seem to be a comfort not only to Annie, but to anyone who has ever lost a loved one, or hit a low point in their own lives. Dr Kagan is very believable and as you read the book, you get a sense of Billy’s personality and how charismatic he was and still is. Billy shares secrets about the “bliss and wonder” of the afterlife. Even if one has never experienced loss in their own lives, the messages in the book are thought provoking and makes one look at the everyday things a bit differently.
Since writing the book, Billy’s messages have seem to affected many people who continually reach out to Annie. Annie states she has not come across very many people who do not believe her story. It is a journey into the next plane that Billy shares with us on this side and in that he has not only helped his own family with coping with his departure, but many more who are dealing with their own mortality. Filled with beautiful messages and a different way of looking at things, Billy has given us a sense of peace and tranquility in a time where the world seems to need it.
