The Coconut Grove Arts Festival will offer visitors the opportunity to meet with exhibiting artists, sample fine cuisine, enjoy live entertainment and take a walk through history. The 47th annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and will be held February 13, 14, & 15, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. There will be several performances, some of which will be performed by many talented local young students.
The Academy of Arts and Minds High School, who will be performing at the Festival on Saturday February 13, is part of a vibrant arts center influenced by the rich cultural diversity of the community. Arts & Minds gives each and every one of its talented students the opportunity to explore and strengthen their artistic sensibilities within the context of a rigorous academic curriculum, in pursuit of scholastic excellence and a boundless immersion in the arts. The School of Rock, who will be performing on Sunday February 14, are a group from The Paul Green School of Rock Music which is the nation's premier performance-based rock music program. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is held annually in the streets of Coconut Grove, Florida and runs along the streets of McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive and Pan American Drive. Admission to the Festival is $10 per person per day. Children 12 and under, Metrorail Golden Passport and Patriot Passport holders are free.
