A List Martini nights members enjoy socializing at the Sugar Cafe

Looking for a group of sophisticated, professional men that know how to have a classy, good time? Look no further because A List Martini Nights is the group for you to join.
Every Wednesday, the men decend upon a local San Francisco bar and make it their home for a night. The chosen bar Wednesday, January 6 was Sugar Café in the Union Square area.
Sugar Café is as sweet as it sounds. The beautiful two story venue is full of comfortable seating, music for entertaining and delicious drinks.
The first floor is where all the action happens. Near the entrance, a roaring fire is burning for those intimate talks as you lookout to the street through frosted large windows. The solo bar hosting two bartenders is behind you not to mention a floating waiter. As you move farther towards the back of the café, there are people sitting enjoying drinks with one another or being productive on laptops.
The second floor is simply a beautiful lounge area. The lounge area is built to look similar to a luxury liner with large port windows that look to the bar and first floor below. The café’s lighting fluctuates from violet, to red, to orange, to red, keeping the mood as warm as the fire near the entrance and as sweet as the name suggests.
For the A List Martini Night, there was a number of specialty $10.00 cocktails including the Orgasmic Cosmo which I decided to pass on fearing that I would fall in love and have a problem getting home if I ordered it. A List Martini promoter Antonie Delaitre did try the Orgasmic Cosmo and enjoyed it.
Though the party started at 9pm, the crowd began to build around 10pm. For an A list event, the men’s attire ranged from full work suits, to button-downs and khakis to simple jeans and t-shirts.
