Robert A. Black Golf Course’s, seventh hole is the penultimate, par three hole; the eighth is the last, par three hole. From the rear teeing ground to the putting green, the average distance is 164 yards. One hundred thirty-five yards is the average distance from the front teeing ground to the putting green. This hole has a #6, course hole handicap. (Robert A. Black Golf Course is a Chicago Park District, nine holes course at 2045 W. Pratt Boulevard in Chicago, Ill.)
Although some powerfully-hitting golfers may choose 7-irons to drive to this hole’s putting green, most golfers will choose 6-irons or 5-irons. The fairway is moderately narrow and points west. (Robert A. Black Golf Course’s scorecard indicates that the fairway has a slight, right dogleg, but golfers who drive onto the green will not need to consider this dogleg.)
An odd shaped, medium size sand bunker is on the fairway’s, right side. This bunker begins at approximately 80 yards from the rear teeing ground. It ends at approximately 25 yards from the putting green.
Another, odd shaped, medium size sand bunker is on the fairway’s, left side. This bunker begins at approximately 25 yards from the putting green, and extends to ¾ of the putting green’s length on this side. (From this golf course’s, first link in the first paragraph, scroll down to view the sand bunkers’, odd shapes.)
The slightly large putting green has an elevation two to three feet higher than the fairway’s elevation. This green has an oval shape with two, concave bulges on each side. The concave bulges are opposite each other.
