The art of beer brewing has become very popular in recent years, and several Long Island breweries, such as Blue Point, Pt. Jeff Brewing Company, Blind Bat and many others provide Long Island beer enthusiasts their own unique concoctions to sample and enjoy. Now, for the seventh straight year, the Nassau Coliseum will be hosting the Spring Craft Beer Festival, bringing the best of brews from across the country right to Uniondale.
Beer enthusiasts will revel in this annual event as it brings more than 100 of the finest types of beers from more than 50 world class brewers from Long Island and around the country. The festival takes place on Saturday, March 9th, and runs for two sessions, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 9 p.m. Admission comes at a pay one price of just $45 and gets you a 6 oz. souvenir tasting glass, and samples from the many brewers on hand. The center of the exhibition hall will serve as a "beer garden' for guests to relax and hang out with friends.
Food, soft drinks, demonstrations and other special events will also take place at the show. Only those aged 21 and over will be allowed to attend and ID will be checked at the door. Tickets for designated drivers are just $12 and the price per person goes up to $55 at the door, so purchase tickets in advance at the Spring Craft Beer Festival to get the cheaper price. The Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum is located at 1255 Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale.
