The 6th annual Spring Fairy Festival is coming (Photos)

At this time of the year in the Pacific Northwest anything that resembles spring, warmer weather and dryer weather is pleasant and Spring Fairy Festival is one of those things. Each year many Pagans in the Tacoma area look forward to the festival to bring the warmth and beauty of spring back into their lives. This year will mark the 6th annual Spring Fairy Festival.

Each year Crescent Moon Gifts, located on 6th Ave in Tacoma, proudly presents the Spring Fairy Festival which is an entire fun filled day for the whole family where you can laugh and play with the fae and the fae at heart. Pagans are not the only ones who look forward to this event each year as it is not a Pagan only or fully Pagan themed event (like a Pagan Pride Day Festival). If you have friends and family that are visiting from other places or in the area already that are not Pagan, don’t worry, they will enjoy this even too.

The entire Puget Sound community is invited to step through the gateway and enter the realm of fantasy, myth and magic on April 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. As we are in the wet Pacific Northwest this event will be held indoors at the Green River Community College in Auburn in the Lindbloom Center which is at the center of the campus. Don’t worry, there will be signs and the fae to help lead you to the event.

At the event you can see and meet leading fairy and fantasy artists, dance with the fae all day to beautiful music, enjoy stage performances that featuring enchanting dancers, magicians and other performers. There will also be workshops and fairy crafts that you and your family can make. Keep in mind that this is a themed costume event and although its not required that you come dressed like the fae, attendees participation is highly encouraged and if last years event is anything like this years, you can expect to find many fae inspired costumes and outfits at this event.

This years Spring Fairy Festival is still a month away but its not to soon to start preparing. As we get closer to the event there will be more information posted to this column.
