The 5th 'Pirates of the Caribbean' installment gets summer 2015 release date

If you thought you were through watching Johnny Depp gallivanting around in full Jack Sparrow mode - think again.

The actor is set to reprise his role as the famous Captain Jack Sparrow in the not yet titled fifth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. Disney recently announced that the film will be released on July 10, 2015.

According to EW.com, Jeff Nathanson - who penned both "Rush Hour" sequels - is lined up to write the screenplay.

There is no word yet on what the story will entail or if Geoffrey Rush and Penelope Cruz will be rejoining Depp for the sequel.

News of the fifth installment come after rumors of there being two more sequels to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. There is still no news confirming if and when a sixth film will be produced.
