The 50th Annual Lakeside Rodeo rides into town!

Rodeo has always been a part of American history. Come celebrate 50 years of western tradition at the Lakeside Rodeo on April 25, 26, and 27, 2014 at the Lakeside Rodeo Arena in Lakeside, CA.

Cheer on your favorite cowboys and cowgirls in various events such as bareback bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, team roping, and the fan-favorite bull riding event. There will also be a stick horse race for the little cow-kids in training and a special exhibition by award winning trick roper, Tomas Gracilazo!

Enjoy a family-fun-filled day of crazy rodeo clowns, lots of delicious food and drink, country music, merchandise booths, and of course meet beautiful rodeo queens and Miss Rodeo Lakeside. Festivities kick off Thursday morning, April 24th at 5:30am as KUSI News will be broadcasting live from the rodeo grounds for the FREE Rodeo Slack event. Everyone is invited!

On Saturday morning, April 26th, enjoy the Lakeside Western Days Parade as it winds its way along Woodside and Maine Avenue towards the rodeo grounds. This year's theme is Lakeside, Where the West is Still Alive and the parade as it all: firetrucks, law enforcement vehicles, classic cars, western outlaws, horses, local community leaders, military marching bands, youth groups, clowns, music, and more! The fun kicks off at 9:35am.

In celebration of the Lakeside Rodeo's 50th Anniversary, commemorative belt buckles are available for purchase. Check the Lakeside Rodeo website to see this stunning buckle and for order information.

Rodeo performances are on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 7:30pm; Saturday, April 26th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and on Sunday, April 27th at 2:00pm. Ticket prices vary $5-$20. Parking $3. See the Lakeside Rodeo website for more information.
