On April 26 and 27, attending the 2014 San Diego International Wine Show will be a must for the wine lover and connoisseur. With panoramic views of Del Mar from the Paddock, guests will enjoy red and white wines, not just from local wineries, but international wineries as well. Featured vintages from Spain, France, South America, and Baja will add to the anticipation. You will also meet acclaimed experts from wine pairing to wine making.
Let’s take a look at some of the events planned for the weekend:
General admission gives you access to tasting fabulous wines, enjoying live entertainment, and experiencing great education from our panel of experts.
Top sommeliers, Charlie Plummer and Hilarie Larson, will be conducting educational seminars throughout the weekend. Courses include: Super Tuscan Wines, Wine and Cheese Pairings, and Blind Tasting Secrets of the Sommelier. These educational seminars are unique and highly informative. They're designed to allow wine connoisseurs the opportunity to ask questions and learn from the experts in the wine industry.
Cooking demonstrations will also be featured over the weekend by Chef Pablo Fernandez. Plus live music by Jimmy and Enrique and Susan McCrea with Soul Seduction.
A selection of delicious appetizers will be available from artisan producers like cheese, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and chocolate.
Food will be available from the 17 Hands restaurant in the Paddock. Staff will be on hand to serve you at your table.
Proceeds from the show will go to the San Diego International Wine Show’s charity, The Country Friends, a local 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Their focus is on local programs providing services to women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
