The 3rd Annual Sandy Sellers Copley Memorial 5K Run will be held on June 15 in Schwenksville. The race is held in honor of Sandy Sellers Copley who passed away at the age of 43 in 2010 after a battle with cancer. Sandy had recently become a runner and was training for a marathon before she passed away.
The race, who was organized by her mother, honors and remembers Sandy and her courage, while raising money for cancer research. It is a small 5k race on the Perkiomen Trail at Spring Mountain that grows year after year. All proceeds benefit St. Jude's Research Hospital. Over $7500 has been raised for St. Jude's Hospital over the past two years.
