Spring is right around the corner and it’s time to start making plans for those spring home and garden projects. The 34th annual San Antonio Home & Garden Show returns to the Alamodome next week and it has everything from vendors, displays, do it yourself seminars and celebrity appearances. This big family friendly event transforms the Alamodome into a home and garden extravaganza. A single ticket is good for the entire weekend so people can come and go as often as they like.
This year for the first time there will be a design challenge between three teams from the University of the Incarnate Word competing for the top prize as well as scholarship money. There will also be a healthy living section that will feature a fitness center and dance studio and the Baptist Health Complimentary Mobile Health Screening team will be onsite providing health screenings. Giveaways include 400 live plants to be given away each day of the show and free tote bags for attendees while supplies last.
Tree whisperer Pete Nelson from Animal Planet’s “Treehouse Masters” will be appearing to give his expert advice on building treehouses. His designs have been featured on national television shows and newspaper articles.
The Home and Garden Show will have everything homeowners need for their kitchens, baths, gardens and more. Aside from gardening seminars and classes there will be cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, an international food court, home accessories and more. Visit San Antonio Home & Garden Show for more information.
