The 2013 Washington Auto Show: It’s all about the cars and more (video)

Did you hear? The 2013 Washington Auto Show is in town now through Sunday, February 10th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center! You’re invited to drool over the $375,000 Lexus LFA, shop sensibly while considering the Toyota Camry or make plans to save the planet and look good too, with the Chevrolet Volt. But maybe you want a little more out of your car show experience...

Perhaps the car show would be more thrilling if you could actually drive a car during your visit. Well, if your driver’s license is legal and you can successfully ace a breathalyzer test, then Cadillac, Kia, Scion, Subaru and Toyota welcome you to test drive an assortment of vehicles while you’re at the car show! Click here to find out when and how. If DC traffic is not what you prefer to experience during the show, Fiat representatives will chauffeur you through an indoor road course in one of their “too tiny to be a parking space slaying” coupes!

If major entertainment is what gets your engine revving, then you will have just enough time to escape your 9 to 5 and meet WWE Champion, Sheamus, and Washington Redskin’s linebacker, London Fletcher, tonight beginning at 6pm and 6:30pm, respectively. Olympic Gold Medalist, Gabrielle Douglas, will be on hand at 5pm on Friday, February 8th to meet fans and sign autographs. See the full entertainment schedule here.

Need an energy zapping activity for the kids this Saturday and Sunday? Bring your little tots down to the convention center and let them loose their minds (and allow yourself to regain yours) when they meet Captain Planet, Maya and Miguel, Talking Friends and an array of PBS Kids Characters. Oh, you’d like to catch a sneak peak of the 2013 Washington Auto Show? You’re in luck! I just happen to have a fabulous video from the event, and it is conveniently embedded within this article!
