What: Monstresor and Fortunato invite you to The Cask of Amontillado wine tasting among the bones at Westminster Hall. According to westminsterhall.org, here are some little know facts concerning Westminster Hall. It's is a beautiful historic church, which was built more than 60 years after the Westminster Burying Grounds were established. To avoid disturbing the existing graves, the original church building was constructed on brick piers above some of the tombs, creating catacombs, which can be toured by visitors. The Burying Grounds are the final resting place of many famous people, including Edgar Allan Poe, General Sam Smith, and General James McHenry.
When: Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Westminster Hall ~ 519 West Fayette Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201
Who: Open to the general public whereas, tickets are available at the door and cost $25.00. You should know your ticket allows you to experience all of the entertainment including 3 wine samples and 1 Raven beer sample. They will have additional wine and beer samples for purchase.
FYI: Tours of the Burying Grounds are open to the public daily during daylight hours from 8 a.mto dusk. Plaques are set up throughout the Burying Grounds that explain the history of the Grounds and tell the biographies of many of the people buried here. You should know the outside Burying Grounds are free of charge. The Catacombs and Westminster Hall are only available to see with a tour guide.
