The 2013 Great Texas Warrant Roundup begins Saturday March 2.
The City of Burleson calculates there are31, 000 warrant for unpaid traffic ticket amounting to $700.000 owed the City. Letters have already been mailed to those involved and the only options left iis either pay the fines or be arrested during the Metroplex Warrant Roundup.
Those agencies that will be a part of the Roundup are the Burleson Marshalls, Burleson Municipal Court and 120 law enforcement agencies. Your fine may be paid at the Burleson sub court directly across from Burleson High School and the address is 247 Elk Drive Room 114 Burleson. The Court’s hours of operation are every weekday but Wednesday 8-4:30 p.m. and Wednesday the Court is open 9-4:30 p.m.
The Burleson Police Department Citizens on Patrol (COP) have been making phone calls to those who have unpaid fines. If you think you owe the City money, you may call the Courthouse at. 817-426-9220. The primary objective of the Roundup is Class C Misdemeanor (traffic fines) although other fines may be included.
In order to avoid arrest you may either appear in person at Burleson Court or pay the fine.
You may pay online at www.burlesontx.com and click on online payments. Partial payments pay cash bonds, or pay dismissal fees are not acceptable. (Payments paid after 4 p.m. will be posted the next day) Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
