The 2013 Cocoa Couture Fashion Show was held today at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa. The show is part of “The Festival of Chocolate” festivities that are being held at the museum from January 19-21, 2013.
The show is also a competition where some of the best up and coming fashion designers and fashion students in the Tampa Bay area have the opportunity to create a garment made out of chocolate wrappers, chocolate boxes and even chocolate itself.
Judging the competition were fashion event producer, president of The Fashion Movement and creator of “Haute the Accessory Show” Mr. Lacey B. Smith, fashion event producer and president of Luxe Fashion Group as well as creator of St. Pete Art and Fashion Week (SPAFW) Miss Donna Crowley and Fashion Blogger and Jewelry Designer Farrah Estrella.
The winner was design student Andria Omboni and she took home the prize of $250 dollars.
She made a blue peacock inspired dress made out of DOVE chocolate wrappers.
