The 13th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade in Baltimore tomorrow

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 12 noon is the 13th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade sponsored by Foreman Mills.

The event that honors the man and his legacy will begin in Baltimore at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street and will proceed south on MLK Jr. Boulevard ending at Baltimore Street.

This years Grand Marshall is original Harlem Globetrotter and Baltimore resident Charles "Choo" Smith. Smith is a graduate of Baltimore City College who gained the attention of the world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters. He played with the team until 2001 and thereafter, played for national and international basketball teams.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade celebration will feature decorative floats, stepping fraternities, honor and color guards, equestrian units, high school and community marching bands, civic organizations and area cheerleading squads.
