Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Synopsis,
Freezing rain has come to an end and temperatures will warm to the middle 30s by 10pm then slowly begin to fall back into the upper 20s after midnight. Any ice out there will melt away off area road ways. However late tonight some light snow may coat the area with a half an inch or less, creating more hazardous travel late. Winds with the cold front tonight will be strong gusting to 45 mph late, some minor property damage may be experienced with winds of these magnitudes. Tomorrow high pressure will build in bringing sunshine and a return southerly flow. Temperatures will rise into the middle 40s. Wednesday will a bit cooler as a weak front brings temperatures back to the upper 30s and lower 40s. By Thursday it now appears that dew-points and temperatures will rise into the 50s and even close to 60. This combined with a powerful cold front approaching from the NW late in the day and overnight could set the stage for very strong to severe thunderstorms. Damaging winds and small hail seem to be the main threat due to a cold ground and snow cover. However an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out in any kinks in this strong line of thunderstorms. Again with this cold front winds will be strong with gusts to 45 mph. Also flooding appears likely with a frozen ground, melting snow pack, and ice jams on area rivers and streams.

Long range:
Behind the system on Thursday cooler air will settle in for Friday and Saturday. And a even stronger front could set the stage for much colder air Sunday through next week with chances for snow returning.
