That's What I Think 03-24-2014

Greetings again my friends from my, I can almost count on one hand when the start of MLB season will start, corner of the world. Much like I do with the start of every season( same goes with the Browns) I am standing at the top of the optimism mountain hoping there won't be a meltdown AGAIN this season. I'll get back to you on that in September. One of the great things about Spring finally being here( at least according to the calendar) is there is always something going on and while I'm here lets talk, shall we?

One of the many things going on this weekend is the HUGE and I mean HUGE Grand Opening of The Main Street Irish Pub. Its located just across the street from the courthouse on Main Street. Angie has locked in Polly Mae to provide the musical atmosphere for such a monumental occasion! You know what that means right? That means you need to get your booty there way before the 9 pm start time if you even think about wanting a seat. My advice, get there early, say about 6-7, order some of the outstanding food from the menu and just stay for the show. How easy is that? Right? So plan on it.

Also coming up Saturday March 29th, Sounds Like Fun Productions along with GILBERT'S Music presents LIVE! LOUD! LOCAL! II
5 of the hottest & rockin-est bands in the area all together in a NO DRUGS, NO DRAMA, NO BOOZE ALL AGES SHOW, where else? Only at GILBERT'S Music, 1206 W Robb. Doors open at 6:30/show starts @ 7 and its only $7 at the door BUT.....BUT if you can score one of the rumored 1000 flyers that are floating around out there, bring it to the show and get in for only $5! An all ages show, early enough for everybody. You asked for it. You got it! GO!!!

The great musical weekend doesn't end with Saturday night. Nope. Sunday its the monthly installment of all things blues, The Blues Jam courtesy of The Greater Allen County Blues Society at the Knights of Columbus on Cable Road right behind Happy Dayz. It starts at 5, $3 admission, cold drinks at a good price and great food as tasty as what you hear from the stage. This months host band is The Zach Laffin Band. If you haven't had a chance to catch Minor Blues you owe it to yourself to experience the future of music . Trust me you WILL be impressed. Bring the family and enjoy a night of just good tunes.

That's a good start. No excuse to just sit around all weekend complaining there is nothing to do. Get out and enjoy the spoils..Remember we can all support the local entertainment community
, just go to something somewhere. At least that's what I think.

As always
If ya dig it do it
If ya really dig it
Do it twice
