Greetings again my friends and welcome to the "Can't Wait Until MLB Season Officially Starts" corner of the world. I must say I was not too thrilled to deal with 20 degree temps and ice again but I keep repeating to myself, like a mantra..."SPRING....SPRING"..Not sure if its working but it gave me something non offensive to say while I scrapped my windows the other morning. At least NASCAR has started. Enough weather whining, lets get on with the show, shall we?
If you missed the big party at The Twist & Shout this past Saturday you need to kick yourself. DJ SABO TAJ got the party going until Nashville Crush took over and they brought their "A" game and the packed house was rockin! I don't know how they kept the roof on the Shawnee Road establishment. WOW! If you have never been there or its just been awhile, you owe it to yourself to head out. The lovely ladies behind the bar are always ready to get you your favorite beverage with a smile. And I can't say enough good things about the menu. I have never NEVER had anything that's was not excellent. Go find out for yourself. They are open Thursday - Saturday.
Made a swing downtown and took advantage of the great menu at The Porter Pub. Good quality and just as good prices. Just a nice place to go after work or if you were looking someplace to go where you don't have to look over your shoulder all the time. Here ya go.Its right across the street from the Sheriffs office....And I know Shawn & Summer are making plans for a great St Patrick's Day weekend and are pulling out all the stops and cooking up some great treats for all who come up to watch the Irish Day parade Saturday March 16th. Come up for the parade and stay all day. Sounds like a plan to me.
Don't forget this Saturday March 2, BRUISER Wrestling returns to the Civic Center first "BEANTOWN THROWDOWN" Doors open @ 6 bell time is 7. Its the return of the Legendary Sam Farmer to the squared circle in Lima after several years. OneManKru will be here fresh from a big tour in Japan.Big main event is "Mr FITNESS" Slim Trimmons VS DJ OLDSKOOL from KISS 93.9 in a Lima Street Fight! Are you kidding me? Doors open @ 6 and bell time is 7. Head on down to Louie's Nite Club on N Main where manager of Champions G.I. SANDERS holds court and get your advance tickets($10) from him. If you buy them before the show at the door, its $14. Save $$$$
There are some big events on the horizon I can't wait to tell you about but it's a little too early right now but be on the lookout. Info is on its way. Trust me.....he says!
