Greetings my friends to another fun filled offering from yours truly. Hopefully we all had a fun-filled Super Bowl weekend as well as an equally fun filled work week and we are all ready to cut loose and have a little fun? NFL season is now officially over, the football world now has a new champion, the ground hog did not see his shadow and opening day is less than two months away so all is good. Lets get on with the show shall we? The fine folks at the new and improved ALIBI on E North Street is planning something very cool for Valentine's Day. Its a little departure from the ordinary but you could walk away with something extra special. It seems you can sing a karaoke duet on that lovers Thursday to enter in a drawing for dinner and a movie. So bring your sweetheart or maybe you'll find that "special" partner and it could be the start of a beautiful relationship. Karaoke starts @ 9. I'm giving you plenty of notice, now its all in your hands.
High Street in downtown Lima will be hopping this Friday and Saturday ...specifically at Mulligans. Friday, the always popular and fun Name That Tune is scheduled to keep all entertained. Then 24 hours later, Big Money will be front and center to provide the nights entertainment. So you've got Friday and Saturday covered if you are heading downtown .....Sunday you are on your own.
I know this is a tad in the future but make sure you pencil in the next blues jam scheduled Sunday February 24th at the Twist & Shout. Its hosted by The Greater Allen County Blues Society and it happens the last Sunday of EVERY MONTH! So just set up a perpetual reminder on that new fancy cell phone and support this great group, great night of cool tunes and an AWESOME place to get some BIG TIME killer food. See you there!!!
I know this is a little off the beaten path but if you are a musician, know someone who is one, or maybe want to be one, you really need to check out GILBERT'S MUSIC.
