That's What I Think 01-26-2014

Greetings again my friends from my, ENOUGH ALREADY WARM UP, corner of the world. Normally I don't have such negative feelings when it comes to the weather but I really am HATING winter right now and have prepared a huge white flag to proclaim my surrender. Granted I'm the first person to admit winter is my least favorite season and would be happy for about 3 weeks of winter season and that's all for the year but I don't ever remembering feeling so defeated by the weather and reaching my "tired of coping with it" level. I'm serious if ANYONE AND I MEAN ANYONE complains about hot summer weather I will hit you with the snowballs I am saving in my freezer for just such an occasion.
OK now that we have that out of the way, lets move on.

Sadly due to the weather situation and concern for the safety of all, the Greater Allen County Blues Society was forced to postpone the Blues Jam scheduled for this past weekend with host band Will Freed Band. Notice I didn't say cancel. They are hoping to put it all back together with everybody in the next few weeks, scheduling permitted. I'll pass along any info as soon as I know.

Great news for you seafood lovers, coming up Friday January 31, Milano's is having another huge oyster night. The feeding frenzy starts at 6 and check this out. Oysters on the half shell, Oyster Chowder, Clam Chowder, Shrimp Cocktail are just a handful of what will be available on this All You Can Eat Buffet. Call 419-331-2220 for more info and reservations. You don't want to miss this.

Coming up Saturday February 1 @ The Alibi, its The Thumbs Up For Dylan Benefit. Dylan Ritchie is a young man who was recently diagnosed with a very large tumor in his arm located from his shoulder to his elbow. As you know, just "going to the doctor" is not cheap and you can imagine the expenses associated with just a medical issue. Dylan is being treated at Columbus Childrens and as you know there are huge associated expenses. That's the reason for this benefit. It kicks off at noon and runs until 8 pm. Besides Raffles, 50/50 drawings and other things there is some great entertainment planned. GRACIOUS SIN, VANITY ASSASSIN & VOODOO MONKEY are donating their talents for the day. Its only $3 at the door AND THAT INCLUDES FOOD!!!!! All ages welcome until 8 pm so bring everyone you know. And bring $$$$$! Tell them you heard about it here.

Just about ready to call it a wrap for this time. Just a few things before I go. Thrilled to be able to make the announcement that "COUNTRY MILE" has re-tooled, recharged and reloaded and is ready to blow us all away with a brand new stage show and other surprises. I will fill you in as the big "DATE" gets closer.
Also if you are looking for something different to do this Valentine's Day,how does a night of great laughs and great acoustic music in a nice intimate setting sound? The event is called "Show Some Love" and complete details next time. Remember we can all support the local scene, just go to something somewhere(even if you have to wear layers), at least that's what I think.
As always
If ya dig it do it
If ya really dig it
Do it twice
