Thanksgiving reveals forgiveness

-May the Thanksgiving holiday overflow with such copious gratitude that all worries and concerns are displaced by a permanently optimistic paradigm shift

I am grateful for all my relationships and the inspirations they serve up, the love in my heart, and extraordinarily abundant environment in which I live.

Underneath gratitude is the implicit forgiveness we gift ourselves for not being everything we have wrongly expected of ourselves, and the projection onto our loved ones for failing to live up to these often unrealistic expectations.

Right here, right now, allowing our patience to make a mockery of expectation, we can indulge in our natural joy of curiosity and discovery, swimming in the flow of creativity.  Belief in the fundamental goodness and essential beauty of life we are freed from the limitations of our own egoic suffering, opening to the messages in each turn of life and the potent opportunities present.

As I open the Moosewood Cookbook to find inspiration for a healthy and tasty dish I find the perfect message in the dedication, “…the meaning of enough, and to measure our success by the happiness in our hearts.”  -Perfect description of the inherent meaning of this, my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.  Freeing from even the measuring of success, lets free our hearts to give from the overflowing abundance naturally present when we become aware of what is enough; beyond enough is an endless flow of more.
