Thanksgiving dinner at the Albuquerque casinos

Whether you're traveling or just looking for a different type of Thanksgiving celebration this year, one of the most uniquely New Mexico ways to get your turkey on is at one of our local pueblo casinos. Many of the casinos offer Thanksgiving celebrations, feasts, buffets or gambling, and their bars and nightclubs are also often open when others close down for Thanksgiving day. Several Albuquerque area casinos are operating November 26th Thanksgiving feasts tomorrow.

Buffet 66 at Route 66 Casino buffet will be hosting a Thanksgiving day buffet, complete with roast turkey, prime rib, crab legs and more. For only $19.99 per person, this is a steal of a Thanksgiving feast. As part of the Pueblo of Laguna, Route 66 Casino is located along I-40, about 10 minutes west of downtown Albuquerque.

Another option a little closer to home is Sandia Resort and Casino, which has two Thanksgiving options. The first is a four-course feast at the upmarket Bien Shur Restaurant. $55 will get you a dinner of either traditional turkey or unique New Mexico quail with all the fixings. Their cheaper choice is at the Thur Shan Buffet, where you can stuff your face with as much salad, seafood, pizza, turkey, prime rib and asian delicacies as you can manage for $25.95.

Finally, Santa Ana Star Casino, just north of Albuquerque in nearby Bernalillo, is hosting a Thanksgiving feast at their buffet restaurant, The Feast.

All of these options will make for a great Thanksgiving day without the hassle of cleanup, doing dishes or hosting grumpy family members!

Happy Thanksgiving!
