A fresh never frozen turkey can be frozen, if you desire, but that defeats the purpose of purchasing a fresh turkey. In general, the quality of a fresh, never frozen turkey is better than a turkey that has been frozen. The fresh turkey, when cooked properly, is juicier and tastier than a turkey that has been previously frozen.
Many suggest brining as the only way to go for a fresh turkey. Brining can be time consuming, and for the inexperienced, brining can cause a lot of smoking if cooking your turkey indoors.
