We continually give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), as we are praying for you, For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God's consecrated ones), (Colossians 1:3, 4 AMP)
Paul prayed for them. A busy man often in prison, making journeys to churches in various towns prayed for them. He was a pastor's pastor, he was an author of many letters in the Bible and a preacher to boot. Yet he took time to pray for the people of this church continually.
Paul had heard of their faith in Christ. Faith isn't just half believing there may be a God. It's leaning on Him with all we have because we know He's a rewarder of those who ask Him and we are a needy people.
He also had heard of their love. There's no higher compliment than to be said as loving people. Love is what God said we should pursue more than anything else. God, has children like us who are struggling and patience, or kindness, or humility might be exactly what they need to bring a little healing.
