Thankful Calendar for kids

Thanksgiving is a time for looking back on the year that has gone by and being thankful for what you have. Teaching your children to stop and really think about how blessed they are is a great way to teach them to be happy in the future.

When we live in a state of gratitude, we attract more things to be grateful for. It is the old saying "like attracts like". We not only become happier but we improve the feelings around our loved ones as well.

Sit around the dinner table each day and have every person say what they are grateful for. After dinner they family can make a calendar together to keep track of what they are grateful for. This way each day everyone has to come up with something new. Keep it posted somewhere that everyone can see it.

At the end of the month don't throw your calendar away. Keep it for the next year to bring out to look back on how things have improved in your families life.

Tip: If you have little ones have them help decorate the calendar.
