Monday, Thailand authorities confirmed that they will pursue criminal charges against Joran van der Sloot for his involvement in sex trafficking in Thailand, according to CBS News.

Joran van der Sloot is currently in a Peru jail for the death of Stephany Flores Ramirez in June. He also has US grand jury charges pending for extorting money from Natalee Holloway’s mother, Holloway is the missing Alabama teen that disappeared in Aruba in 2005. Holloway, 18, was last seen with van der Sloot.

After Holloway disappeared, van der Sloot flew to Bangkok and posed as a modeling agency consultant, according to the Enquirer. Some of the girls he spoke to have disappeared and were never found.

Thai authorities have not completed their investigation, but Harold Copus a former FBI agent said that van der Sloot was believed to have been a middle man in the sex trafficking charges. The Dr Phil show hired Copus to investigate the Holloway case.

"In the sex slave industry, the middle man would get a fee for getting the girls and moving them around," said Copus.

Copus heard rumors that "girls were taken out of Aruba to be used in the sex trade," he said. "There was supposedly a guy from Chicago there, a reputed mobster, who has been quoted as saying that a good [sex slave] is worth a quarter of a million dollars."

"Usually they'll dope the girls up so they have no concept of what they are doing," Copus told AOL News and once the women aren’t useful, many times they are killed.

"There is another seedy business out there called the snuff trade, where they sell or trade recordings of actual murders," he said. "That's the final exploitation."

Monday, Joran van der Sloot’s lawyer, Luz Marina Romero Chinchay told HLN that van der Sloot lied about several claims during the time she represented him. Romero said that she was hired by van der Sloot during his confession, after he refused a public defender and said he wanted a private attorney. According to Romero, she asked him if he wanted her and he said yes. She asked him about payment and he said his mother would pay. Now van der Sloot denies that he ever hired her. What little DNA will be left of Urine van der Slug after his Peruvian counterparts and the rats who whine and dine with him every night might be shipped to Thailand on the end of a Q-tip !
Then they and the U.S. can get together for his wake and wonder why they weren't powerful enough to stop that monster in his tracks...Way to go Peru !!! throw away the key !!

Too late to Thai the knot on Urine ! Peru's got the monster and will never let him out ! Congrats to Peru for doing a good job and swift justice (unlike the U.S. and Thailand )
